We started travelling in 2003 thinking we would do one big trip every other year but after the first time away we were hooked. Planning the trips is fun but actually going to our destinations is better. Walking holidays seem to be our main mode of transport but we have been known to take organized tours.

Now that we are both retired, the time away is no longer limited to 4 weeks of vacation a year. We can go wherever we want, whenever we want. So as of 2013 you’ll start seeing a lot more posts here.

  2. Thanks for reading our trip report and for all the comments. Stay tuned for this year’s walking extravaganza as we head back to Great Britain for Hadrian’s Wall, the West Highland Way, the Great Glen Way finishing off with the Speyside Way. Before heading home we’ll do a day walk on the Fife Coastal Path then sight see in Edinburgh.

Wow Paul and Rosemary, I came across your blog not realising you were actually doing this right now. My partner and I are planning our walk of Hadrians Wall for July this year and this one walk for us will be a challenge … but to be doing WHW,GG, and SSW as well … AMAZING !!!! best of luck !! p.s. we live in Fife and love the coastal walks, Hope the weather improves for you x

  4. Thanks, Jill. We have just finished the West Highland Way and are now resting up before setting out on foot again. When you do Hadrian’s Wall make sure you schedule some time for visiting museums. We did a certain amount of that but we really should have allowed more time than what we did.

Dear Paul and Rosemary (big fan of that name:))

I just stumbled upon your blog and I am a big fan of people like you, who just go out there and explore the magnificent world. If everyone would & could travel as much as you guys, the world would be a better place.

I am trying to collect interesting stories from different people around the world. If you want, just check out my site. I just started this project to I am more than happy to receive more stories. It could also be a nice way for you to promote your blog and get a broader audience.
