Morgenhof Wine Estate
We visited the Morgenhof Wine Estate, one of the many wineries in the Stellenbosch area, for a wine-tasting session.
Neither of us are any sort of wine connoisseurs, but there were a couple of wines that we liked better than the others. Here are Rosemary and André trying one of the whites.
This was a shop in Stellenbosch that sold all sorts of stuff, some junk and some not. We skipped the rusty bicycles and old books in Afrikaans, but bought a bag of turmeric.
Up in Franschhoek there is a monument commemorating the Huguenots (French Protestants) who came to South Africa in the 17th century. It’s rather an elaborate monument for such a small town.
