Pictures from Shrewsbury
We arrived in Shrewsbury between rain showers, and found a car park near the centre of town where we left the car. Near the car park was the English Bridge, one of the two main bridges across the Severn River.
Shrewsbury had a cathedral and an abbey, and several other churches. This unusual round church is St. Chad's.
After we had walked around the city wall for a bit, we came to the Welsh Bridge at the other side of the town. Across the river was the Abbey.
Shrewsbury also had a castle, the first of many we would see in Britain. Unlike many of them, Shrewsbury Castle was still being used, by the Shropshire Regimental Museum.
